Fuel Rewards Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 2026-09-13

These Terms and Conditions (Fuel Rewards Terms) apply to Fuel Rewards on the UNICASH platform, and to every fuel campaign UNICASH runs — including, but not limited to, the campaign described in the Schedule below. They are read together with the UNICASH Terms and Conditions (the Platform Terms) and the Privacy Policy. Earning Fuel Rewards is deemed acceptance of these Fuel Rewards Terms.

Fuel Rewards are not a Bonus Draw or a Major Draw. There is no draw and no element of chance. UNICASH does not sell fuel and does not change the price you pay at the service station; Fuel Rewards are Points added to your UNICASH account after a fuel receipt you upload is reviewed and approved.

The Schedule describes the campaign this document was published for. It is not what decides whether a campaign is running: a campaign is started, and can end on its budget, in UNICASH's systems without this document being republished. What you will earn is shown to you in the app when you upload a fuel receipt (section 5.6). Where a campaign is running and the Schedule has not been republished for it, section 5 still governs that campaign, and its rate, litre cap, period and budget are the ones set for it in UNICASH's systems. Where no campaign is running for you, only the standard plan rates in section 2 apply.

1. Who can earn Fuel Rewards

1.1 Fuel Rewards are a paid Membership benefit. Members on the free plan do not earn Fuel Rewards on fuel receipts.

1.2 You must be 18 years or older and meet the eligibility requirements of the Platform Terms.

1.3 One account per person. UNICASH may treat multiple accounts operated by one person, or one account operated by multiple people, as ineligible.

1.4 The rate you are quoted when you upload is held for 7 days (section 4.3). If the receipt is approved within those 7 days, that rate is what you are paid, even if you have changed plan in the meantime. If it is approved later, the receipt is valued at the rate of the plan you are on at approval, and a receipt approved when you are no longer on a paid plan earns no Fuel Rewards.

2. How Fuel Rewards are calculated

2.1 Fuel Rewards are earned by the litre, not by the dollar. Your plan's rate is multiplied by the eligible litres on the receipt.

2.2 At the date of this document the rates and monthly allowances are:

PlanRateMonthly litre allowance
FreeNot eligible
UniOne8c per litre200 litres
UniPlus10c per litre200 litres
UniMax15c per litre400 litres

Rates and allowances can change. The current values are always published on the plans page and take effect from the date they are published there.

2.3 Points are added at 10 Points per cent earned, and 1,000 Points equal A$1 of gift-card value. A receipt earning 8c per litre on 50 litres therefore earns 4,000 Points, which is about A$4 in gift cards.

2.4 At the date of this document a maximum of 100 litres per receipt counts toward Fuel Rewards at the standard plan rates, and litres above that are not paid, whatever the receipt shows. This cap is one of the settings UNICASH may change under section 7.1. A fuel campaign may also set its own litre cap for the receipt that earns the campaign rate; where it does, the campaign's cap applies to that receipt instead of this one, and the Schedule shows that cap for the campaign this document was published for.

2.5 Your monthly litre allowance resets at the start of each calendar month, Perth time (AWST). When the allowance for the month is used, later fuel receipts that month do not earn Fuel Rewards at the litre rate; the receipt is still processed under the standard earning rules in the Platform Terms.

3. Eligible fuel receipts

3.1 The receipt must be from a fuel retailer on the published eligible list. The list is at Eligible fuel retailers and changes from time to time. The list as it stands when your receipt is reviewed decides the outcome: a retailer added after you uploaded can make your receipt eligible, and a retailer removed before your receipt is reviewed can make it ineligible.

3.2 The receipt must show the litres purchased, the total paid and the date. A receipt whose litres cannot be read is not eligible.

3.3 The implied price per litre (total divided by litres) must fall between A$1.10 and A$3.50. A receipt outside that band is not eligible for Fuel Rewards. This check exists to catch misread or altered receipts.

3.4 One fuel receipt per 24 hours per account earns Fuel Rewards at the litre rate. A second fuel receipt inside 24 hours is still accepted and reviewed, and still earns Points under the standard earning rules in the Platform Terms — it does not earn the per-litre rate.

3.5 The receipt must be your own purchase, uploaded once. Duplicates, copies of another member's receipt, and altered images are not eligible and may lead to action under section 7.

3.6 The standard receipt rules in the Platform Terms also apply, including the maximum age of a receipt at upload and the daily upload limit.

4. Review and approval

4.1 At the date of this document every fuel receipt is reviewed by a person before any Points are added, and no fuel receipt is approved automatically. UNICASH may change this review setting under section 7.1.

4.2 Until a receipt is approved, any figure shown to you for it is an estimate of what it would earn. Points appear in your balance only on approval.

4.3 A receipt that has not been approved within 7 days of upload has its reserved Points released. It keeps its place in the review queue, and at approval its Points are recalculated against the rates, allowances and plan that apply then (see section 1.4).

4.4 If the litres or total on a receipt have been read incorrectly, UNICASH may correct them during review and recalculate the Points. The correction and the reason are recorded against the receipt.

4.5 If a receipt is rejected, the reason is shown in your receipt history.

5. How the campaign rate works

This section applies whenever a fuel campaign is running, whether or not the Schedule above has been republished for it.

5.1 The campaign rate applies to the first eligible fuel receipt you upload whose fuel purchase falls inside the campaign period, up to that campaign's litre cap. "First" means first within that period, not the first fuel receipt you have ever uploaded. The purchase details printed on the receipt decide this, not the time you upload it: where the receipt shows a time, that moment must fall inside the campaign period; where it shows only a date, the receipt qualifies if any part of that day, Perth time, falls inside the period.

5.2 A receipt that is rejected, is a duplicate, or falls outside the price band does not use up your campaign receipt. Your next eligible fuel receipt can still earn the campaign rate.

5.3 A receipt uploaded while you are on the free plan does not earn the campaign rate and does not use up your campaign receipt.

5.4 The campaign rate applies once per campaign, not once per lifetime. A later campaign is a new opportunity.

5.5 The campaign rate is held for your receipt for 7 days from upload. If the receipt has not been approved in that time, it earns your plan's standard rate instead.

5.6 A campaign has a fixed Points budget, set when it is created and shown in the Schedule for the campaign this document was published for. Budget is set aside when you upload, not when the receipt is approved. When the budget is reached the campaign ends, even if the end date has not arrived, and receipts uploaded after that earn your plan's standard rate. While a campaign is running and you have not yet used your campaign receipt, the offer is shown to you in the app when you upload a fuel receipt; once it stops appearing, the campaign rate is no longer available to you.

5.7 If your monthly litre allowance is already used when you upload, the campaign rate does not apply to that receipt.

6. Points, gift cards and expiry

6.1 Points earned as Fuel Rewards are ordinary UNICASH Points. They are not cash, are not transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

6.2 Gift cards can be redeemed from A$20 (20,000 Points). Available gift cards and their denominations are shown in the rewards catalogue and can change.

6.3 Points expire after 18 months of account inactivity. Your Points do not expire while your account stays active, as described in the Platform Terms.

7. Changes, suspension and misuse

7.1 UNICASH may change the rates, allowances, caps, price band, the time between receipts in section 3.4, the review setting in section 4.1 and the eligible retailer list at any time. A change takes effect when it is published. Because a fuel receipt is valued when it is reviewed rather than when it is uploaded (sections 1.4, 3.1 and 4.3), a change can affect a receipt you have already uploaded that has not yet been approved. The exception is the rate quoted to you at upload, which is held for 7 days under sections 1.4 and 4.3. The litres quoted to you are a ceiling and not a guarantee: your receipt is paid on the lower of those litres and the litres that still qualify when it is reviewed, for example after another receipt has used part of your monthly allowance or after a correction under section 4.4.

7.2 UNICASH may end or shorten a campaign at any time, including when the Points budget is reached. Receipts already uploaded and approved are not affected.

7.3 UNICASH may withhold or reverse Points, and may suspend or close an account, where a receipt is not genuine, has been altered or duplicated, was not for the member's own purchase, or where the platform is used in a way that breaches the Platform Terms.

8. Complaints and contact

8.1 If you believe a fuel receipt was assessed incorrectly, contact support@unicash.com.au within 30 days of the decision, with the receipt and the date it was uploaded.

8.2 Nothing in these Fuel Rewards Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

8.3 These Fuel Rewards Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
