The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/50 handles up to 50A of charge current from panel strings up to 100V, a Bluetooth equipped controller for larger systems.

Connectivity & Control

Bluetooth Smart: Enables a wireless approach for easy setup, monitoring, updates, and synchronisation of your SmartSolar Charge Controller.
- VE.Direct: Provides a wired connection to devices like Color Control GX, PCs, and other GX products.

Efficiency & Harvesting

Ultra-Fast MPPT: When the sky gets cloudy and light intensity varies, this ultra-fast MPPT feature ensures up to 30% more energy harvest than PWM controllers and 10% more than its slower counterparts.

Load Management

Virtual Load Output: This controller has no physical load output. Add a VE.Direct TX cable and set it up in the VictronConnect app, and the controller can switch a Victron BatteryProtect, a relay or a load's own remote on/off connection, cutting your loads before the battery runs too low.

Battery Life Algorithm: Used with the virtual load output, it protects your battery from frequent cycling between partial and full discharges. It adjusts the load disconnect levels daily, ensuring your battery recharges close to 100% approximately once a week.

Temperature Management

Internal Temperature Sensor: Automatically adjusts charge voltage based on ambient temperature, ensuring optimised charging.

Optional External Sensors

Via Bluetooth, integrate with tools like Smart Battery Sense or BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor for external battery voltage and temperature data.

Additional Features

Programmable Charge Algorithm: Customise your charging process. With a flexible charge algorithm, choose from eight pre-set modes or customise your own.

Battery Recovery: Capable of kick-starting charging even for a battery discharged to zero volts and can reconnect with fully drained Li-ion batteries.

Comprehensive Protection

The SmartSolar Charge Controller is built to last, featuring protection against high temperatures, PV short circuits, reverse polarity and reverse current.
There's also a temperature sensor to adjust charge voltage based on the environment.

Synchronised Charging: Sync up to 10 units via Bluetooth for a unified charging system.
Battery Recovery: Can jump-start batteries discharged to zero volts and even reconnect to fully discharged Li-ion batteries.
Connectivity Options: Use VE.Direct for wired connections to various devices, and remotely switch the unit on or off with the VE.BUS BMS.
Relay & Display Options: Comes with a programmable relay for alarms or other events. For those who prefer a physical interface, an optional pluggable LCD display can be attached.
