Description from Alternative Brewing

Engineered in collaboration with IMS, the BIT Renato Filter Basket brings precision and refinement to espresso brewing. Its electropolished stainless steel surface and distinct Pozzetto shape improve water flow through the puck, reducing channelling and highlighting sweetness for a cleaner, more balanced cup. Every basket in the Renato series is built with durability and consistency in mind, designed to deliver reliable performance for years of use.

For smaller, traditional single shots, the Renato 8 offers a capacity of up to 8.5g, delivering smooth balance and clarity. The Renato 90+ expands this range to 9-13g, giving more flexibility for lighter roasts, single origins and experimental extractions. Both baskets emphasise brightness and sweetness while keeping bitterness and astringency in check, letting you enjoy espresso with more depth and nuance.

When you need larger doses, the Renato 18 provides the perfect balance for everyday double shots, while the Renato 21 supports up to 21g for those who prefer a richer body and more intensity in the cup. With each variant crafted from high-grade stainless steel and finished to exacting standards, the Renato baskets give you the control to brew your way with consistency and confidence.
