Description from Alternative Brewing

Experience bolder, sweeter shots with the BIT BoB Filter Basket series, precision-made to redefine extraction. Designed by Sauro Dall’Aglio in collaboration with IMS, these baskets use a curved “Pozzetto” shape to guide water toward the centre, reduce edge channelling and bring out flavour complexity and body in every cup.

Choose from four variants to match your dosing and machine preferences. The 16g and 18g BoB baskets are perfect for those wanting fuller espresso without pushing volume, while the 21g offers added richness and strength. The 54mm 18g variant fits Breville/Solis portafilters, letting owners of those machines access BoB performance without moving to a 58mm setup.

Every variant shares the same Italian steel craftsmanship, curved basket shape and intention: deliver smoother extractions with more body, less bitterness and clearer sweetness. Whether you favour subtle clarity or bold intensity, there’s a BoB basket tuned for your cup.

BIT BoB Filter Basket Features

Curved Pozzetto Shape – The curved design promotes water flow from edge to centre, helping reduce channelling at the rim.

Four Variants For Dosing Range – 16g, 18g and 21g in 58mm, plus an 18g in 54mm to suit different machines and dose preferences.

Italian Stainless Steel Build – Precision engineered from food-grade steel for consistent heat retention, durability, and clean extraction.

Enhanced Body and Sweetness – Designed to bring more body into the cup and elevate sweetness while reducing sourness and harsh edges.

Improved Flavour Clarity – Helps sharpen aromatic notes in single origins and blends alike.

Wide Machine Compatibility – 58mm variants fit most commercial and prosumer machines; 54mm variant made especially for Breville/Solis.
