Year 6 Bundle: Integers Through Planet Temperature - Lesson Plan, Slides and Activities

Gifted and Talented Teacher creates high-quality teaching resources and printable teacher resources designed to support calm, organised, and engaging learning environments. From curriculum-aligned teaching tools to functional classroom decor, our resources are classroom-ready and designed to save teachers time.

Teach positive and negative integers through planet temperatures with this complete teaching bundle. Students use integers to represent temperatures above and below zero, plot values on vertical number lines and thermometers, and compare and interpret positive and negative temperatures.

Combining a lesson plan, 22-slide editable teacher presentation and three differentiated student activities, this curriculum-aligned bundle provides a complete sequence for teaching integers through temperature contexts.

Built around the I Do, We Do, You Do model, students move from explicit teacher modelling to guided practice and independent application. They explore planetary temperature data, represent temperatures in relation to zero, compare warmer and colder values, and solve problems involving positive and negative temperatures.
