Does this paint require a backing colour? No. Bright Gun Metal is an opaque metallic paint that provides excellent coverage on its own. A backing coat is optional if additional opacity is desired.

Can this be used as a base coat? Yes. It is an excellent base coat for custom paint schemes and can also be used as the final body colour.

What surfaces is this paint designed for? It is formulated specifically for clear polycarbonate (Lexan) RC car and truck bodies, but it can also be used on many other paintable surfaces after testing compatibility.

Important Notes

Designed specifically for use on clear polycarbonate (Lexan) RC bodies.
Apply several light, even coats for the smoothest finish and best coverage.
Allow adequate drying time between coats.
Apply paint to the inside of clear polycarbonate bodies unless completing an external paint application.
For external applications, finish with a compatible clear coat if additional protection is required.
Test compatibility before applying to materials other than polycarbonate.
