Description from Downies Collectables

Mob of SIX Roos $1 – issued ONLY in 2026!

A unique, highly distinctive Australian legal tender $1 type, to be struck ONLY in 2026, we are delighted to present the 2026 Mob of Six Roos $1 coin in strictly Uncirculated condition!

Struck by the Royal Australian Mint to celebrates 60 years of decimal currency, the 2026 Mob of Six Roos $1 represents a clever take on one of Australia’s most iconic coin designs. Created by Stuart Devlin – the man who designed Australia’s original decimal coinage – the traditional Mob of Roos $1 features five kangaroos. An inspired concept, the Mint has added a SIXTH kangaroo to the classic Mob of Roos motif, with the newcomer seen bounding across the top of the coin! Each Roo represents one of the six decades since decimal currency was launched in 1966!

Crucially for collectors, the Mint will strike the unique Mob of Six Roos $1 type ONLY in 2026. In 2027, the $1 coin will revert to the classic Mob of Five Roos $1 motif. A must-have for those seeking to maintain a complete collection, you may well find the 2026 Mob of Six Roos $1 in your change – but it won’t be in premium grade. This is your chance to add this key type to your collection in strictly Uncirculated condition!

Presented within an attractive credit card-style pack, and within the reach of all at our price, this unique, one-year-only issue is simply a must-have. With our stocks limited, and demand sure to be strong, we must impose a limit of five coins per household.
